Fine early Lower Sepik Ramu Amulet, Papua New Guinea. Carved and engraved hardwood and natural pigment. Of diminutive size, this amulet has an expressive form with a bent nose and almond eyes below it’s layered coiffure. It retains residue of red ochres and dates from the early 20th. Century.
